ThyssenKrupp Safway stepped into the ring to supply scaffold and labor services for World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) and their Dec. 16 pay-per-view event.
The ThyssenKrupp Safway Pittsburgh branch provided Systems™ Scaffold for WWE’s “Armageddon,” which aired to a sold out crowd at Pittsburgh’s Mellon Arena. The Systems™ Scaffold build was enclosed in decorative brick and pyrotechnics and was the focal point of the show.
At its tallest point, the structure stood 56 feet tall. A 25-foot projection screen was hung in the center, and the wrestlers used this massive stage prop as an entrance to fight inside, on top of and outside the ropes.
