Do scaffolds have to be inspected?

Yes. OSHA requires scaffolds to be inspected by a Competent Person prior to each work shift, and after any occurrence that could affect the scaffold’s integrity.

Any missing parts or defects must be corrected prior to begin working on the scaffold.
