New York City Pipe Explosion

New York City Pipe Explosion
New York City, NY
July 2007
About the project
A steam line buried beneath the intersection of Lexington Avenue and 41st Street in Manhattan burst, creating severe road and adjacent property damage. Safway installed 400 linear feet of temporary fencing along with 2,400 linear feet of sidewalk bridging to protect the public while necessary repairs were made. The schedule required work to take place around-the-clock to ensure that the sidewalk could be re-opened to the general public as soon as possible.
