Projects
- San Miguel Boiler Plant
- Christine, TX
February 2007 - April 2007
- About the project
- The San Miguel Power Plant needed major work on the bottom of the boiler and in the lanes above the
bull nose of the boiler. Since scaffolding could not be erected from the boiler foundation, the
QuikDeck™ Suspended Access System was used inside of the boiler. QuikDeck™ served two
purposes: providing access to the lanes of the boiler and protecting the the lower level of the boiler.
QuikDeck™ measured 25'x 67' and was suspended with 80 foot cables from the top of the boiler. The
QuikDeck™ system was erected in
14 hours and dismantled in eight hours.
