Pit River Bridge
Redding, CA

About the project
The bridge deck on the Pit River Bridge needed replacement. To give the contractor access to the bottom of the bridge and to the structural members, a suspended access platform was required. The platform needed to be installed for the duration of the repairs to ensure that no debris would fall from the road deck during the construction activity.
The QuikDeck™ suspended access platform was installed across the 3,200 foot bridge on the outside of the truss member. This provided the protection for the area below as well as a solid working surface for the contractor during construction.
