Our health care coverage includes a medical plan (along with preventive care and prescription drug coverage), together with independent and optional dental and vision coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts
ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc.'s Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is an excellent way to save tax dollars. Two accounts are available: the Health Care Account and the Dependent Care Account. Both pay for predictable expenses with pre-tax dollars, which results in more money for you and less in taxes.

Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Business Travel Accident Insurance
ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. provides employees with basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, plus business travel accident insurance. Employees also have the opportunity to buy additional insurance for themselves and their family members.

Disability Insurance
Should employees become incapacitated and unable to work due to an illness or injury they may be eligible for our Short Term Disability (STD) or Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits.

ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. offers a 401(k) Savings Plan to encourage employees to save for their retirement years. Through this plan a percentage of pre-tax earnings may be deferred while ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. contributes generous matching contributions to help save for retirement needs.

The Employee Assistance Program provides immediate, confidential, and professional assistance and referral services to employees and family members in need. They can help with: relationship issues, legal problems, concerns about child or elder care, alcohol or drug abuse, workplace concerns, parent/child problems, balancing work and family, depression and financial concerns.

Paid Time Off
ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. believes that time off to pursue personal interests, spend time with family, travel, relax and handle unexpected matters is appropriate in order to accomplish a suitable work and life balance. Instead of separately allocating paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and personal leave, ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. provides employees with Paid Time Off ("PTO") days. The number of PTO days each employee earns depends on the employee's length of service with ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc.

Paid holidays may vary at each facility and normally follow local customs to accommodate our customers' schedules.

Education Assistance Program
ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. has established an education assistance program to assist employees' children with their continuing education. The program is open to most employees who have been employed full-time for at least two continuous years at the time of the program application deadline date.

Tuition Reimbursement
ThyssenKrupp Safway, Inc. recognizes the importance of continuing education for our employees, and will reimburse up to $2,500 each year following successful completion of pre-approved education courses.
